Our Story

Death In The Delta is a documentary focused on showing how small communities in the Arkansas Delta fare when schools shut their doors. Since many towns consider their school system at the heart of the community, school closures affect the region more than many people realize.

This documentary is brought to you courtesy of the Arkansas State University School of Media & Journalism through Mr. Galen Perkins' Video Production III Class. Credits to the production crew of Jacob Cater, Olivia Dockins, Tiarnan O'Mongain, Reika Sekai, and Sooyeong Choi.

The Documentary will show on Wednesday, April 29th 2026 in the Arkansas State University Student Union Auditorium at 4:50 PM. It will be available on YouTube prior to the screening.
